TEDxGary returns to the Miller Lakeside neighborhood of Steel City on Sunday.
The independently curated TEDx event will take place from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Marshall Gardner Center for the Arts at 540 S. Lake St.
This year’s theme is “How to fail well”. Speakers will give lectures lasting up to 18 minutes on “how failure is the introduction of a successful and winning philosophy in all areas of life” and how “if we fear failure outside the In the equation of contemplation, we move toward goals knowing that reworking and retrying are all part of success.”
Scheduled speakers include Indianapolis Colts Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Brian Richardson Jr., Realtor Debra Jonson-Givens, The Hook-Up of Black Women Chapter President Sonda Vasquez, author Martin McCary and registered social worker and mentor Krista Detor.

The conferences will be filmed and broadcast online. TED Talks are popular on YouTube, where they cover topics like “The Power of Introverts,” “Weird Answers to the Psychopath Test,” “The Danger of One Story,” and “The Surprising Science of Happiness.”
